Process of family projection: This principle analyzes how parents transmit to them the emotional problems, anxiety and worries they feel for their children. Multigenerational transmission process: This principle looks at how differences and patterns in families (in parents and their children) can be found to recur over numerous generations. For example, mental health problems, drug or alcohol dependence, etc.
