He specified that “seven intubated people out of ten had more 60 years and eight out of ten were not vaccinated”. “From the 19 January, the penalties provided for by law will be applied and a monthly administrative fine of 90 euros will be inflicted until these people are vaccinated,” he said.

End of november, 67% of the general population was vaccinated

To encourage vaccination against Covid-19, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced at the end of November that the vaccine would be mandatory for more than 60 years, but left until 13 January to unvaccinated people to take a pr first appointment. The Delta variant is now less than 23% of cases, according to Mr. Plevris.
