The year 2022, a great vintage for fans of anime and manga?

For fans of manga and anime, 2021 is shaping up to be auspicious. Enough to approach the New Year with joy and good humor. If we already knew what to expect, the edition 74 of the Jump Festa confirmed what we thought: strongly 2021.

Festa Jump : What does 2022 have in store for us in terms of manga and anime?

This weekend, it rained announcements, teasers, trailers. And for good reason ! Saturday and Sunday was the new edition of the Jump Festa, a major annual event in the world of animation and manga. It is organized by Shūeisha, one of the biggest manga publishing houses in Japan, to whom we owe classics like Naruto , One Piece or Dragon Ball for ne quote that them.

The return of Bleach after a decade of absence is surely all at the top of the list of what fans expect the most. During Jump Festa, Shūeisha got it right with a worthy trailer for the manga’s final arc adaptation into an anime. Enough to allow fans to wait wisely between now and October 2021.

The publishing house properly celebrates the twenty years of Naruto , who still lives through Boruto with two new visuals .

Another mastodon signed Shūeisha, Dragon Ball returns next year with the film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero which offered itself, as a bonus, a new trailer this week -end and an official release date. See you on 22 April 2021 in Japanese theaters. In France, the mystery still looms.

Concerning the “new generation”, there is a lot of work to be done. Season 6 of My Hero Academia unveils itself in an explosive trailer with a release slated for next fall. As for Dr. Stone , the anime also offers itself a trailer for season 3, expected in 2023. However, a special episode on Ryusui will air next summer. At least that’s it…

After a beloved first season, Jujutsu Kaisen returns with the movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0 and Shūeisha presented a third trailer to celebrate this. If the animated film will be released in Japanese cinemas this weekend, we will have to wait a bit before discovering it on our French screens. As for season 2, we imagine that we will have to wait until next year.

Good news for fans of Chainsaw Man by Tatsuki Fujimoto because they are entitled to two announcements. First of all, it’s official: the manga will return for part 2 from next summer. Finally, the anime will indeed be broadcast on our screens for 2021. For the moment, nothing more on that side. We were, however, treated to a “teaser” (short, too short) to contain, not without difficulty, our impatience. We expected a real trailer of the anime but we will be satisfied with it.

Finally, the anime SPYxFAMILY was revealed in a new trailer with the seiyû of the characters of Anya and Yor and a broadcast scheduled for next spring. We were also able to discover the character designs of the film One Piece Film Red , expected on August 6 in Japan.

The other manga / anime novelties to come

But manga and anime, it’s not just Shūeisha. Other highly anticipated nuggets will be released next year. We will start the year well with the release of the last part of season 4 of the anime Attack on Titan on the 9th January 2022. We already know it’s going to shake.

Director Makoto Shinkai, behind Your Name , will return next fall with a new animated film. Entitled Suzume no Tojimari , the film makes us meet Suzume who travels through mysterious doors. But opening and closing these seems to have serious consequences.
