The white semester in history: a suspension of powers that was never needed

Pier Paolo Pasolini wrote that “institutions are moving: and men / in other things who do not know how to recognize themselves in them”. Except that sometimes their story is truly paradoxical, so much so that with irreverent melancholy one can even smile at it, as life is always a little more complicated than politics.

This thoughtful rumination would like to adapt to the blank semester that starts today; and that not only does not make much sense anymore, but goes back to reasons that have been reversed into their exact opposite.
