TGV traffic on the Paris-Lille axis is disrupted on Saturday and will remain so on Sunday, by a local social movement, the SNCF, ensuring however that all travelers whose train has been canceled could be replaced in other trains.
“A social movement this weekend has effects on TGV traffic in Hauts-de-France but we are ensuring a almost normal TGV service in the regional territory, “said a spokesperson, confirming information from the daily Le Figaro .
“But 100% of passengers whose train had been deleted were able to transfer to a direct TGV or in correspondence in Lille “, she specified.
Recontacted by the SNCF, all the travelers concerned can exchange their train ticket free of charge to get to their destination, says the company, according to which only a few TGV Paris-Lille have been canceled, the others circulating normally.
As for the TGVs leaving from Lille to other regions (to the South-East etc …), they were not affected by these disturbances.
Calls to strike this weekend on the TGV South-East axis were lifted at the last minute by the unions (Unsa railway, CGT-Cheminots, SUD-Rail) which demanded improvements in remuneration and working conditions, SNCF Voyageurs having granted bonuses of 600 euros for drivers and 300 euros for controllers.
But if the fire has been extinguished on the TGV Sud-Est axis, other conflicts are shaking the SNCF, where strike calls have been launched this week by several unions in different regions.
