Short sellers persist and sign despite headwinds

In well-trending equity markets on both sides of the Atlantic in 2021, short sellers continued to speculate on falling prices. But, with progressions of 23% for the S & P 43 on Wall Street and more than 20% for the Stoxx 500 European, they did it at their risk and peril .

Already stunned by the persistent Covid crisis, investors did not necessarily want to pay attention to the bad news peddled by these fraud trackers.
