On BFMTV, the Minister of Culture Roselyne Bachelot confirms that the situation is “tightening” for companies in the sector with the 5th wave of the covid.
“The situation is tense in the culture”, observes Roselyne Bachelot, guest this Friday of Bourdin Direct on BFMTV.
“There are particularly affected sectors: music , the second semester will see a decrease in turnover of % and cabarets where there are group cancellations “. In question, the 5th wave of the covid and new restrictions for travel.
To support companies in the once again weakened sector, the Minister of Culture announces new measures.
No feedback from gauges
“We decided that the fixed costs measure, which was aimed at companies that were losing 65% of their turnover, we decided to lower it to 65%, which should make it possible to take into account the difficulties of the sector “, explains Roselyne Bachelot. Finally, the government reactivates “whatever the cost” for Culture. “I have credits that allow for example to face the difficulties of the cinema or the theater but it is necessary to continuously adapt these aids and I am fighting for that”, underlines the Minister.
Side restrictions, if Roselyne Bachelot insists that the wearing of the mask be generalized, “everyone respects the instructions”, she adds, she refuses for the moment to reintroduce gauges in theaters. “For the moment, there is no question of gauges”, she emphasizes.
