that you can’t find anywhere before. I’m sharing it with you right now, here is my news about “House Of The Dragon”: New trailer promises an absolutely epic “Game Of Thrones” prequel – series news
The launch of the first Game Of Thrones spin-off, House Of The Dragon, is slowly approaching. A new trailer for the prequel once again fuels the anticipation with all sorts of ingredients that “GoT” fans love.
The battle for the Iron Throne, intrigues at every corner and majestic fire-breathing dragons: the new trailer for “Game Of Thrones: House Of The Dragon” leaves little to be desired by fans and finally gives the impression that we have a truly epic successor to hand fantasy hit series should expect.
From a story point of view, however, we are actually dealing with a previous series, since “House Of The Dragon” takes place around 200 years before “Game Of Thrones”. At that time, the ancestors of Daenerys Targaryen ruled over Westeros with their dragons. The kind Viserys I (Paddy Considine) recently ascended the Iron Throne. But he has long since not only advocates – which is partly due to the fact that for the ruler there is no question that one day his daughter Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) will succeed to the throne.
However, many traditionalists who insist on a male successor would much rather see Viserys’ younger and intrepid brother Daemon (Matt Smith) in power. But as the old saying goes about the Targaryens, every second descendant of the house is marked down the road to madness…
“Game Of Thrones: House Of The Dragon” will start on August 21, 2021 in the USA and – like the main series before it – will find its way to Germany the following day, where the offshoot will run on Sky on pay TV and via Sky Ticket will be available flexibly.
Many more “Game Of Thrones” series planned
“House Of The Dragon” is based on George RR Martin’s fictional Westeros history book “Fire and Blood”, but it is just one of many planned series from the world of the “A song of ice and fire” author that the broadcaster HBO wants to build on the huge “Game Of Thrones” success.

Also in different stages of development are:
- “Tales Of Dunk And Egg” about the adventures of the knight Ser Duncan the Great, set around 90 years before “Game Of Thrones”, and his new squire Egg, who turns out to be the later King Aegon Targaryen
- “10,000 Ships” follows the adventures of the warrior-princess Nymeria, who founded the Principality of Dorne and inspired Arya Stark to name her direwolf
- “9 Voyages” about the voyages of Corlys Velaryon, also known as “The Sea Serpent”, who also appears in “House Of The Dragon” (played by Steve Toussaint)
- a still untitled series about Flea Hole aka Flea Bottom, the slum of the capital city of King’s Landing aka King’s Landing
- several animated series, but not much more is known about them yet
How many of the offshoots we will actually see apart from “House Of The Dragon” is still in the stars. So they could all end up actually being produced – or else suffer the same fate as the original first spin-off, The Long Night, which eventually didn’t make it to series production after the (extremely expensive) production of a pilot episode.
These are the series highlights for 2022
