The palace had a competition for 13- until 25 – Year-olds proclaimed to create an emblem that would do justice to and please the »smartphone generation«. The selection was ultimately made by various art professionals from Great Britain as well as a representative of the palace.

Winner Edward Roberts can now take part in the celebrations as a guest next year. The United Kingdom is planning a four-day festival of the monarchy from June 2nd to 5th 2022 especially for the so-called platinum anniversary. On this occasion, there is also an extra day off for all Brits. A big military parade, a church service, a concert with world stars and a horse race are planned – the queen is a horse madwoman.
