Carlos Segundo’s film exhausts the viewer by diluting its subject.
Fendas in Portuguese it means cracks, cracks, cracks. Those in which Catarina will interfere, a researcher in quantum physics who, by studying the sound spaces hidden in the variations of light, finds access to a parallel temporality. Said like that, it may sound exciting. The film by Brazilian Carlos Segundo is unfortunately not really. A terribly dull and featureless contemplative and semi-experimental drift that could have made an intriguing but completely dark short film, diluting its subject in frankly exhausting abstract poses.
