E3: The 2022 edition of the video game fair will once again be held online due to the pandemic

Since the appearance of the coronavirus, the habits of gamers have been greatly disrupted. In June 20, in full expansion of the pandemic, the organizers of E3 purely and simply decided to cancel the annual meeting of video game lovers. And last year, it turned into an all-digital event, the first in history. The Los Angeles Convention Center has remained deserted.

Would the virtual world be a godsend for E3?

Unfortunately, it seems that we have to deal with a completely digital show again this year. Indeed, in an interview with GamesBeat, the organizers announced that they preferred to give up organizing the face-to-face event again this year.

“Due to the ongoing health risks surrounding COVID-19 and its potential impact on safety exhibitors and participants, E3 will not be held face-to-face in 2022. We remain incredibly excited about the future of E3 and look forward to announcing more details soon.” we know that the Consumer Electronic Show, held in Las Vegas, was held face-to-face. While E3 organizers didn’t say how their show would be held this year, they did add that they were “excited by the possibilities of an online event.”
