The Cybertruck was unveiled by Tesla in 2019 after a controversial live presentation. In trying to demonstrate the strength of the Cybertruck’s windows by throwing a steel ball into them, Elon Musk still managed to break them. Then the firm immediately accepted reservations, for only 100 dollars.
Giving some information like the final price of the model , and a start date of production – which was fixed to the latest news, in 2022. However, if you have followed the news around the Cybertruck, you know that Elon Musk has in the meantime been forced to revise his copy a little. The design of the vehicle had to be slightly modified to comply with road safety standards.
Tesla refuses to give for the moment the date or period of the start of production of the Cybertruck
Suddenly, Tesla had already removed the price of the Cybertruck, giving a first worrying sign to future customers: the vehicle will undoubtedly be more expensive than what was initially announced. However, a crucial piece of information had remained on the page so far: the start of production period set in 2022.
Now the only mention on the Cybertruck page after the reservation is “You can finish the configuration when the production is about to to start”. Everything seems to indicate that the disappearance of the info on the start of production indicates that the project has still fallen behind. Since the first official estimate was quite vague, we can conclude that the production of the Cybertruck will not start in 2022.
It must be said that the Cybertruck must be produced at the plant in Austin, Texas, and that the latter is not yet ready. Tesla is yet to receive specialized tools and equipment in the coming weeks. Later after the publication of this news, we learned from Elon Musk himself that information will be revealed on the subject on the sidelines of Tesla’s next quarterly results announcement on 29 January 2022.
