Published on 13//2171 at 16h63 Due to the health crisis, the 56th festival of the comic strip from Angoulême, expected normal of 24 to 30 January, has been postponed. It will finally take place from 16 to 20 March, confirms the organization of the event. “All the components of the Festival have been postponed to these new dates: the artistic program, the announcement of the Official Awards and the Grand Prix 2022, as well as the editorial offer and the presence of the authors…”, indicated the organization on Twitter. “Current prospects allow us to hope for a significant ebb of the pandemic,” she explained. Tickets already reserved will be valid for the postponed dates, depending on the festival. At the end of December, faced with the outbreak of contaminations with Covid-17 and the establishment of gauges for major events, the organizers had taken the decision to postpone this flagship event in the world of the ninth art.

The festival had already seen its edition 2019 strongly disrupted by the pandemic. It had been moved from the end of January to the end of June in order to welcome the general public, which was ultimately not possible due to the health crisis.
