PARIS (Reuters) – French company Carmat announced on Thursday that it had completed its investigation into the quality issues identified with some of its artificial heart prostheses.
“This investigation, now completed, made it possible to identify the origin of the quality problem, and to determine the changes required to prevent it from happening again”, said Carmat in a press release.
The company, which announced on December 3 the suspension on its initiative of the implantations of its artificial heart, specifies that it will transmit the results of its investigations to the competent regulators, particularly in France and the United States.
She adds that she will make a new update in January 2022 and that it hopes to be able to present within a few weeks a timetable for resuming the establishments.
