Two birds with one stone! On December 6, LSA revealed that the Zouari couple, the main franchisee of Casino group and owner of 42% of Picard, is preparing to take over MaxiBazar , a discounter specialist in bazaar and decoration, which counts 90 stores in France and Switzerland, for a turnover of approximately 200 millions of euros. Two weeks later, this Sunday 12 December in the evening, the family has just announced this time in a press release that it has entered “into exclusive negotiations with the investment fund SAGARD and Claminvest, holding company of Jean-Jacques Namani, with a view to the acquisition of the Stokomani brand, a pioneer in discount and destocking in France. ” With 130 stores in France, Stokomani is better known than MaxiBazar. It presents itself as the “French leader of low-cost brands and specialist in pleasure buying” and boasts of offering 10. 000 references at low prices covering the worlds of fashion, beauty, decoration, toys, seasonal products, food and garden.
